Ideas for Entertaining Your Family from Southeast Texas Aerobic and Septic
This has been a busy year at work. We’ve been blessed to be able to install septic systems all over East Texas from Kountze up to Sam Rayburn.
We’re looking forward to taking a couple of days to spend with our kids and grandchildren.
I thought I’d take a moment and share some favorite family summer memories. If you see something you like, enjoy it with your children and grandkids.
Galveston: We like Galveston because you get the beach, lots of restaurants, and Texas history. Did you know Galveston was once the 2nd busiest immigration port in the country? You can find out all about it at the Galveston Historical Society. While you’re there, don’t miss the tall ship Elissa. Of all the things to do, the simplest is still my favorite. Walking on the beach. Lately we’ve been blessed with more of those “green water days” that used to seem so rare. If you haven’t been to The Gumbo Diner, check it out. Don’t miss the beignets.
Rockport / Fulton: Rockport is a farther drive for Golden Triangle families. The payoff is more consistently pretty water. For fisherman, the community built a tremendous fishing pier with green lights. For families with kids, Rockport’s community beach is one of the most attractive we’ve been to.
The Big Thicket. During the summer it gets pretty hot for hiking during the day, but it is perfect for swimming and hiking Village Creek. Bring your own canoe or kayak or rent one from one of the local paddle sports outfitters.
We look forward to every moment with our kids.
