Labor Day Wishes for Silsbee and Tyler County
In East Texas, men and women work hard. For generations, we have cut the timber that is used to build houses across the nation. Southeast Texans grow rice and cattle and chickens that feed the world. Our neighbors drill for oil and build the pipelines that transport it, and refine it to fuel the world.
Unfortunately, Golden Triangle families work so hard, and the work we do is so important, that not everyone is able to take Labor Day off.
If you are, we hope you get a chance to relax and recharge your batteries. Spend time with friends, family, and neighbors. Fire up the grill. Take the boat out of the garage and drag it to Sam Rayburn or the Neches River or Sabine Lake.
Whatever you choose, take a deep breath. Enjoy yourself.
Work will still be there on Tuesday.
