Southeast Texas has always been a place where women worked every bit as hard as men.

I’ve met women who were welders in the Port Arthur refineries during World War II. Many Golden Triangle women have served in the military and on the police departments in Lufkin, Lumberton, and Orange. We have a number of female fire fighters, and Beaumont has even had a woman serve as Fire Chief.

Working hard is honorable. It also can lead to health issues. Many Southeast Texas women are exhausted. Many work every day with nagging injuries or without having fully recovered from an illness.

Rooted Therapy and Wellness in Beaumont was set up to give women a place to relax, recharge, and to take charge of their health.
