Christmas thoughts from Southeast Texas Sewer and Septic
Around here, we like a kind of “Mayberry” feel to the Christmas holiday.
We like to have kids gathered around the table decorating our family’s traditional sugar cookies or helping Abbie put together a gingerbread house.
Christmas Eve’s spent in church for a candlelight service are both moving and meaningful, reminding us of the true reason for the season.
In our neighborhood, we still sometimes get Carolers and are always happy to receive them.
Our Christmas gifts tend to run to things that are practical, a .22 that a grandchild can carry to squirrel camp or a fishing reel that can do “double duty” flipping to bass on Sam Rayburn and flounder on Sabine Lake.
There’s nothing better than sitting around the fireplace with families reading “The Night Before Christmas” or telling stories about memorable Christmas’s from the past, including the first Christmas, so long ago.
We hope that this holiday season provides an opportunity to spend quality time with friends and family.
