Enjoy Your Family During Spring Break
Thoughts and Ideas from SETX Sewer and Septic

We enjoy our work, but when Spring Break comes around we do like to get a couple of days away with the kids and grandkids.

We’ve put together a list of some of our favorite East Texas Spring Break activities from year’s past. Feel free to try one with your family if it looks like the right fit.

Party barge day on Dam B / Steinhagen Lake: My daughter is the only person in our family who doesn’t like to fish. Taking the pontoon boat is a nice compromise. She can get some sun and listen to music while I fish with the grandkids. We also like to hop off on a sand bar to swim and enjoy a picnic.

An afternoon at Crystal Beach (or Holly Beach). Everyone likes the beach. Sun, sand, water. Pretty close to perfect. If we’re going to be there for the day, we usually bring a grill and cook some burgers or links. We also like to have a watermelon on ice. We fish, throw the frisbee, and play washers or cornhole. These days I’ve also been interested in collecting sea glass and hoping to find an arrowhead (no luck yet).

Spend a day in downtown Nacogdoches. Nacogdoches has one of our favorite downtown scenes in the area. Dolli’s Diner is great for an upscale diner style breakfast. We like to walk the cobblestone streets and check out the antique stores, boutiques, and galleries. If the boys are with us, we’ll throw axes. We having lunch at Auntie Pasta’s.

A few days on Sam Rayburn. Lake Sam Rayburn has a little something for everyone in our family. My daughter and her family enjoy kayaking. The grandsons and I like to fish for bass and white perch. We all enjoy riding around in the boat. KOA Brookeland has been a great place to stay. They have cabins, tent sites, and RV hook ups.

I know none of our choices. We’re pretty simple folks, but we do enjoy spending time together.

Getting back to work is nice to.

We enjoy designing, installing, and repairing septic systems.

If you ever need an aerobic or conventional system, we’d appreciate the opportunity to work with you.
